Padma Lakshmi to host a comedy

Supermodel Padma Lakshmi is all set to star in a US comedy which revolves around the life of a woman working in the culinary world. Padma Lakshmi has signed a deal with Universal Media Studios which will create the series.

The NBC show named ‘Single Serving’ starring the model-turned-cook book author is looking to cash in on her popularity as the host of the superhit reality show ‘TopChef’.

The news comes just as Lakshmi scored an Emmy nomination in the reality competition host category. The supermodel has also been a part of films like Boom, Aishwarya Rai Mistress of Spices, and Glitter.
